Clinical Digital Health Solutions (CDHS) – Purpose
MBI are proud to announce that we have qualified as providers on this prestigious new Framework.
NHS London Procurement Partnership (LPP) launched this as representing the next generation of the LPP Clinical Digital Solutions (CDS) and describe CDHS as:
…”An Integrated Health Economy framework to continue to support the NHS Long Term Plan by providing a route to market for all core clinical and care based digital solutions in use within the health and care sector”.
CDHS Expectation
There has been some anticipation as market commentators widely expect this to become one of the most important routes to procuring health technology transformation services for the NHS. On this basis, the Framework notice was published with a significant upper estimated value of services set at £2,000,000,000.
We understand that CDHS had been specifically tailored, reacting to feedback from the NHS community to put the focus squarely on improving value returned from digital health services.
The stipulated requirements to qualify were intentionally set with a stringent high bar and as a consequence the process had to be relatively protracted to accommodate the extensive diligence required.
We expect more announcements will follow from the NHS Procurement Partnership team, but at this stage we understand that only a limited set of organisations were selected from those digital health providers who had applied.
Benefits
For NHS purchasing organisations, the high level of scrutiny applied to each extensive submission means that all relevant checks have already been concluded and assured in advance.
This includes compliance with standards and technical credentials, but it was also evident from the process that evaluation was also mindful of alignment with policy and complimentary support with strategic initiatives. For example, CDHS thoroughly explored topics like carbon reduction, seeking hard evidence of both activity and progress.

CDHS offers peace of mind for NHS organisations that investments will fit comfortably with NHS plans and NHS digital strategic direction.
